Can someone please help me before I cancel the subscription out of sheer frustration. Blockbuster By Mail does not charge extra for Blu-ray. And their 3-at-a-time unlimited plan is 1 CHEAPER than Netflix Maybe we should switch to Blockbuster. I dont agree in gladiator now we are free techno remix extra just for the CAPABILITY of renting Blu-Ray. What if for a particular month we dont actually receive any blu-ray discs? We will still get charged the extra dollar! What if they just charge an extra quarter or something small like that only if we actually receive a blu-ray disc in a particular month? That I can agree to. More nickel and diming hey! Time to go back to Blockbuster! After reading the comments; Netflix better reconsider their Blu-ray policy or they are going to lose a boat load of customers! Typical corporate behavior!! I say, Cancel the subscriptions to Netflix and see how long this company stays afloat! Go ahead netflix put on a 1 surcharge and see how long I stay a customer! I must say I find this new policy very disturbing. Blue Ray prices if pruchased when movies are released are consistent with the price of movies just a few years ago and the price of Blue Ray discs continues to fall. Since Netflix did not gladiator now we are free techno remix my price when DVD prices fell over the past few years. I have to agree with others that this is just a way for Netflix to milk me for more cash. Especially given that of 200 movies in my queue only about 30 of them were blue ray. Its not like every movie I get will be on Blue Ray. Maybe then I would not be as angry. I am still a customer, but I find myself willing to do what I have not been willing to do in years and that is evaluate other alternatives dare I say BlockBuster. Sorry I cancelled Blu-Ray. I have only been a member for a few months and gladiator now we are free techno remix the price is increasing. I watch some Blu-Ray movies but not a lot. A PS3 upgrades a Regular DVD and it does look good. I would probably go along with the extra money on the months that I do Order a Blu Ray movie but not every month and not on months I do not rent any. Blu-ray costs more? I seriously doubt it, that would be a complete change in how Netflix does business. They currently dont pay a DIME for the movies, studios supply the movies for a % of the rentals. I wouldnt mind the buck extra if that would mean that Netflix would stock more Blu-ray movies. Currently, every single movie in my queue is Long Wait or Very Long Wait and I have nothing at home and no discs being shipped. Its a standoff, I tell ya. Ive watched and watched until my queue is down to about 8 or 10 movies that Netflix cant seem to send to me. Im not renting blu ray yet still waiting for the price on the players to come down but I dont mind paying an extra 1 for blu ray when Ive got my player. You guys are complaining over nothing. 1 extra a month is reasonable. I have no problem with the 1 extra. Whats weird is that Ive been paying it since I turned on blu-ray back in August.
